Alien Dawg is a 70/30 Indica Dominant Hybrid that is a cross between an Afghani Landrace and the legendary Chemdawg. This strain has been reported to help patients with a variety of symptoms, which include pain, stress and appetite stimulation.
This strain draws its genetics from one well known California strain, Chemdawg, and a relatively unknown landrace strain from Afghanistan, Alien Technology. Urban legend says that Alien Technology apparently found its way to a breeder in North America by the means of a returning American soldier who had been on active duty in Afghanistan.
Alien Dawg’s THC content sits anywhere between 12-20%, depending on who is growing it, while the CBD content is low to very low, usually ranging anywhere from 0.01-0.29%. The medical efficacy of this strain is directly correlated to ailments that find relief from its high THC content like chronic pain, nausea, appetite loss and insomnia. The medical effects of the strain do not involve benefits associated with CBD because of the extremely low CBD content found in Alien Dawg.
Medical reviews for this strain cover a multitude of mood disorders, most prominently ailments like PTSD, depression, anxiety and focus oriented disorders like ADD/ADHD. While few medical reviews have focused on Alien Dawg as a pain relieving strain, there are quite a few medical users who claim that this strain is ideal for the treatment of migraines, headaches, stress and arthritis.
