Sensi Star is a 70/30 Indica Dominant Hybrid strain that has a very high THC content, extremely powerful physical effects and a hazy cerebral euphoria. Although the exact genetic lineage of this strain is unknown, it has been a popular strain in the recreational market since it was first propagated in Amsterdam by Paradise Seeds during the 1990’s. Sensi Star has also become a favourite strain for medical cannabis patients to help treat the symptoms of ailments like depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, chronic pain, arthritis, migraine headaches, nausea and lack of appetite.
First grown and propagated by Paradise Seeds, a Dutch seed company, the genetics have been kept secret since its release into the cannabis world. Sensi Star has been a popular recreational strain since its debut on the cannabis coffee house scene of Amsterdam in the mid 1990’s.
Sensi Star has high to very high levels of THC that test between 18% and 26%.
The CBD content is usually around 0.2%.
Medical patients claim that Sensi Star is great for ailments like depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD and insomnia. People suffering from chronic pain and arthritic pain have reported finding relief with this strain as well. Other medical patients say they have used Sensi Star to help alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Sensi Star produces feelings of physical and mental relaxation that are paired with a mood boosting mental euphoria. This strain leaves your mind hazy and has a strong physically sedative effect, so Sensi Star is recommended for afternoon and evening use.
Dry eyes and dry mouth are common negative effects, while reports of mild dizziness, paranoia and headaches are typically linked to overconsumption.
Sensi Star has an aroma profile of pungent earth and fresh pine, with hints of spices and mint.
The taste is similar to the aroma, however with additional notes of citrus and herbs, sweet throughout, but the minty flavour is subdued during the smoke.
Sensi Star does well in both indoor and outdoor settings. It is especially versatile outdoors, as long as it is sheltered from the elements and kept away from frost. When grown outdoors, Sensi Star does especially well in climates that are sunny with cool temperatures and is known for producing yields of 12 to 14 oz/plant.
When grown indoors, you can expect an average yield of 12oz/m² after 8 to 9 weeks of flowering.
