The Tangie cannabis strain is a 70/30 Sativa Dominant Hybrid strain that pays homage to another potent Sativa Dominant Hybrid from the 90s known as Tangerine Dream. While the Skunk strain used in its breeding is officially unknown, it is commonly believed to be Skunk #1.
This strain packs an impressive amount of THC that ranges from 19% to 22%, with average samples containing 19%. Its CBD content ranges from 0.1% to 0.5%, with average samples containing 0.1% or less.
In recent years, this strain has become very popular among medical cannabis patients who state that it works well for chronic pain, fatigue, type 2 diabetes, stress, depression, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, nausea and lack of appetite. Most Sativa Dominant strains are not as effective at treating chronic pain disorders like Tangie; this is an impressive cannabis strain that can offer therapeutic relief for ailments of both the body and mind.
Tangie delivers the classic Sativa energizing effects and is recommended for daytime use. Unlike many high Sativa percentage strains, many users report that Tangie does not leave them feeling jittery. This is most likely due to relaxing and euphoric influence of its Indica genetics.
Tangie produces an experience that is cerebral in nature and many people report that it leaves them feeling euphoric, energetic, creative and focused for anywhere between 2 to 4 hours. Be warned that Tangie can cause significant feelings of relaxation thanks to its Indica content and often causes drowsiness as the experience finishes. For that reason, when you are first trying Tangie, you should exercise caution and start slowly to ensure that these feelings of relaxation are not too severe for you to complete your day to day tasks.
Beginners should exercise caution with this strain.
While it does have a very low side effect profile, overconsumption can lead to feelings of severe anxiety, paranoia, dizziness and headaches. So, while it can be an amazing beginner use strain, exercise caution and go slowly when first getting started as its THC content is very significant.
Tangie’s aroma profile is recognizable almost instantly, dominated strongly by the sweet and sour scent of citrus and oranges, with a subtle skunky and earthy undertone. Tangie has a flavor profile that is slightly earthy with very potent highlights of oranges and sweet tropical fruit.
