Cannabis Massage Oil

This is a simple and very effective recipe for making cannabis massage oil. It can also save you money, tons of money.

cannabis massage oil

You only need TWO ingredients and some basic pieces of equipment to make this versatile massage oil.

Many patients find that cannabis infused massage oil helps them get better and deeper massages that ultimately make their lives more manageable.

Preparation Time: 5 - 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 - 15  minutes

Bottling: 5 minutes

Total Time: 20 - 30 minutes

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan and a glass measuring cup (food safe when heated, we use pyrex) that fits nicely into the saucepan or use a double boiler
  • Small stainless steel whisk (a chopstick works well too)
  • A 0.1 or 0.01 Scale (0.01 is suggested)
  • Calculator
  • Bottles. We suggest small tinted glass bottles. These bottles hold just under 30 grams of Grapeseed Oil and we need 3 bottles for this recipe. This type of bottle will mitigate the risks of cannabinoid degradation.

Once you have all of this equipment you can make cannabis massage oil for years. We suggest to spend the money and the time to get your equipment set up correctly so everything is easier and more consistent now and in the future.

Ingredients

cannabis massage oil

  • 1 gram of RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) or use a different decarbed cannabis concentrate
  • 85 grams of Grapeseed Oil (we suggest using organic brands whenever possible)
  • Optional: 10 drops of Peppermint or Frankincense Essential Oil. You can try different essential oils to see what you prefer. We like the two previously mentioned.

You can scale this recipe up as much as you want but we suggest doing small fresh batches.

This recipe will make 3 small bottles (30 ml each).

This cannabis infused massage oil will keep for a long time, especially if you keep it in a cool dark place. We also suggest labeling each bottle with ingredient contents and dosage if possible.

Directions

  1. cannabis massage oil Fill a medium saucepan with hot water until the water is three to four inches deep and ensure that the water level is at least 1.5 inches below the rim of the measuring cup. Place the saucepan on the stove burner at a low/medium heat (level 3 - 4) and allow the water to heat up but do not let the water boil.

  2. Place 85 grams of grapeseed oil into the glass measuring cup.

  3. Place the glass measuring cup that is filled with grapeseed oil in the hot water of the saucepan. Let the grapeseed oil heat up for 5 to 7 minutes. Do not let the grapeseed oil boil or get too hot. It just needs to be warm enough to easily melt and emulsify with the cannabis concentrate.

  4. Once grapeseed oil is heated add 1 gram of your favourite RSO or other decarbed concentrate. Use your whisk to gently mix the cannabis concentrate into the liquified grapeseed oil (a chopstick also works if you do not have a small whisk). The RSO should quickly emulsify and the mixture will become uniform/translucent; it may have a slight amber color to it. Once the RSO has fully emulsified into the grapeseed oil, continue to gently stir the mixture for 5 more minutes. Turn the heat down to level 2 while gently stirring.

  5. Now remove the measuring cup from the saucepan and pour the liquid into your bottles. Be careful and use oven mitts to remove the measuring cup because it may to be hot.

  6. Congratulations you have just made Cannabis Massage Oil!

  7. Enjoy and remember to share with your adult family and friends!

This cannabis massage oil can also be used on your skin for sores, blemishes, scars and much more. If you want to make a more potent cannabis massage oil you can either use more RSO or use less grapeseed oil.
